The supplied docs are a little light on in detail (visually and technically) so watch Damian’s video (Shedsesh) a few times. I’ve had my hoist for about a year now, time for a review.
Firstly the service and backup was great. Unfortunately I had a broken pick up pipe in the hydraulic unit, an overzealous factory assembler cracked it we guess. The replacement pipe arrived pronto! The hydraulic pack is otherwise excellent Bucher quality.
The hoist is superb quality and works really well.
It does however take a bit of patience setting up. My hint to any ‘newbie’ like I was is to give the guys a call about getting the safety cables set up properly, five minutes on the phone is time well spent.
The only minor issue; I had to give my safety release handle a bit more travel (by bending the handle up a bit) as it was impossible to get the correct adjustment, it was either not releasing the pawl far enough (it would catch on the far side pawl when lowering) or it would not ‘click’ when raising. Simple fix.
I would very highly recommend both the product and the team that sell them. Thanks guys!

Started about 9.30am and had it working by 6pm. Like most have said the hoist is great but the instructions need work. I just watched Damiens video to work it all out.
