The Journey
Our story began with a passion for working on cars and a commitment to supporting like minded enthusiasts — growing into a trusted name across Australia for workshop solutions.
2016
Joel’s Garage Gear began as a humble home-based startup located on an acreage property in Little River, Victoria.
2017
To accommodate growing stock levels, Joel expanded the shed on the property to an impressive 660m2 in total.
2018
Joel’s Garage Gear expanded its offerings by providing professional hoist installation services through trusted partners.
2019
The business took a significant step forward by relocating to a warehouse in Derrimut, Victoria and welcomed its first employee.
2020
Joel’s Garage Gear invested in a new truck to help streamline local deliveries and hoist installations across Melbourne.
2021
As the product range continued to grow, the business relocated once again, this time to a larger facility in Truganina, Victoria.
2022
We rebranded the car hoist range and introduced our signature colour scheme as part of ongoing product improvements.
2023
To better support our growing customer base, Joel’s Garage Gear established a second warehouse in Loganholme, Queensland.
2024
The business made another leap forward by stocking inventory in five states across Australia to better serve local customers.
2025
We remain laser focused on helping both new and existing customers across Australia create the shed of their dreams!
