• A single hydraulic cylinder lifts the runways by pulling the cables
• Runways can be adjusted between two track settings by removing 4 bolts and sliding one over

Safety Features

• 4 point pneumatic safety lock releases
• Additional secondary safety lock when weight comes off the cables
• Runways must first be raised a fraction before the safety locks will operate to allow the car hoist to be lowered

I purchased a whole cabinet set and one of the overhead cabinet from Joel’s Garage unfortunately had some rust developing on it after around 18 months from installation.

After reaching out, Operations Manager Andrew took the time to understand the issue and handled the situation professionally and fairly. Although the cabinet was outside what many businesses might consider a straightforward replacement, Andrew made the decision in good faith to send me a replacement unit.

Good value and reasonable quality but some disappointing aspects. In particular, they don’t sell any accessories for the pegboard and were most unhelpful when I asked for help in finding some. There was also a lot of assembly required, more than expected. Quality also is average, but probably commensurate with the price

The whole process was simple.
They had stock available.
Hoist and All parts were included in 1 package.
I have a single wide driveway so the 2.7m in-between width means I can drive thru the hoist even with my 2 5m wide enclosed trailer.
My only cause for concern was the manual was at the bottom of the crate instead of the very top and the pics and steps were confusing.
Saying that, after sales service was awesome and very knowledgeable.
The whole experience was well worth it.

All the staff i encountered were friendly and helpful, customer service is definitely #1 priority for these guys! The communication and sale went through smoothly with no issue too hard to solve.
Convenient location meant I could pick up saving delivery fees. The guys reversed my car in for me, loaded the trailer and tied everything down.
With some muscle help at the other end to unload the trailer, I was then able to put everything together by myself and have it ready to surprise my Husband for his bday. He is stoked with his new Toolbox set up, and the quality is amazing!

Went and picked up a workshop storage unit, which fitted perfectly in the back of the Triton, with the help of Ryan and the crew.
Took a few hours to assemble, and as with many Chinese products I was expecting for things to be misaligned or captive nuts to have damage threads or any other number of issues.
But this wasn’t the case at all with Joel’s cabinet. It all went together perfectly. Looks great and so functional. Had also purchased a Joel’s hoist a couple of years ago, a similar great experience.
I’d certainly go back Joel’s for anything else I may need in the future.

My wife blessed me by buying a 2 post hoist with bottom plate. Very easy to install as I had all the gear. Ripped out an exhaust, gearbox and tail shaft in 1.5hrs. Triple that time without a.hoist. It will get plenty of use too. Love it!!

Second hoist from these guys, good customer service and delivery timeframes. Will be buying a third soon, instructions aren’t 100% but good enough to someone who has an idea, wouldn’t recommend a novice to setup on own, some experience recommended - we had our engineers install ours. Comes with everything you need. If in doubt just ask, the customer service is good.

Joel’s Garage did a solid job overall. The hoists are great quality and the whole installation process went smoothly from start to finish. The only downside was the amount of rubbish left behind by the installation team — it would’ve been perfect if they cleaned up properly before leaving. Other than that, happy with the service and would recommend them.

Happy with the scissor lift works really well.
Only issue I have is monovering the lift. Extremely difficult the front wheel doesn’t steer properly very hard to turn and push,

Recently purchased a hoist for my man cave . Got the 4.5 ton clear floor with the extension kit to be able to have high clearance to do a variety of cars and stack cars etc. The hoist was better quality for the money than I expected as I owned commercial grade hoists for my mechanics business previously which were more expensive. Instructions to assemble the hoist were mostly clear . Would recommend a professional install if you have never done this type of thing though. Was well packed for shipping and would require a fork lift to unpack and assemble . As it's for private use it should last forever.

Was able to pick up my new toolbox from the warehouse. Very thankful for that! Most of the toolbox was assembled. Only fault I have is the bolts for the caster wheels. They are imperial size and also the heads of the bolts are very rounded on the high points which results in sockets and spanners slipping once trying to tighten. Might want to look into better supplier for them?

Whilst purchasing, the customer service at Joels was great, Aussie call centre, one person was the same point of contact from beginning to end, emails were answered in a timely manner and they answer the phone straight away.
The freight company they use has a call centre in Australia, responds instantly and have delivery drivers with great attitudes.
There were absolutely no delivery damages either.
We had to do something with our farm shed, see the before and after pictures !
Everything pictured fitted perfectly.
The shelving, cupboards and tool boxes are all of sufficient quantity and very modestly priced.
They are very adjustable, see the floor level Vs the top of the units, and flexible.
With everything considered, customer service, quality and price, for any home or light commercial uses these sets are perfect.

Purchased a 4 post extra long/high from joels around 2 months ago. Installation was straight forward if you're mechanical minded. If you're unsure just pay somone for the pice of mind. A couple of minor teething issues with some faulty parts, but the team at joels sent spares out straight away.

Overall quality and functionality is as expected. Having the ability to move it around the workshop with the additional castor kit allowed it to be more versatile for my needs.

I like the airhose lock feature (i keep it unplugged when I'm not in the shed as an addional safety feature) We have had small cars to heavy 4x4s, some minor adjustments are required once cables stretch, the team at joels are easy to get ahold of. Can answer any questions, would absolutely recommend them to others.

Click + collect at third party warehouse - 0 stars.

Overall 3 stars as the pickup experience really was so bad.

Joels garage gear are absolutely awesome to deal with and kept me up to date throughout the whole order process. The toolbox I purchased is great quality and would own another in a heart beat as my tool collection grows.

The click and collect option for Sydney is absolutely dreadful and therefore would tell anyone looking to buy through Joel's to either just pay for shipping or buy from another company. Pickup is at a third party warehouse and can only be arranged between 8-3 weekdays. So if you work a normal job (as anyone requiring a tool box like this would), it makes its really difficult.
Signage at the pickup location is non existent so good luck finding the office (where all guests are to go first). After 40 minutes of driving around this industrial warehouse lot, and talking to 4 different staff, I still hadn't found the office. Finally found the pickup section and the man there was so rude, and I was almost sent away for not wearing a hi-vis vest (I only received an email the night before pickup saying this was necessary, so it was impossible to get one before pickup the following morning). Apparently anyone who works in a warehouse owns one? I work in a massive warehouse as a spray painter for a large chain of smash repairers and there's not a hi-vis vest in sight as they are not needed at all. This guy was an absolute drop kick. Joels is not a trade exclusive store so any member of the public can purchase there, especially automotive hobbyists who likely won't own hi-vis.

I bought a tyre changing machine. The salesman didn't seem interested. Couldn't explain how to use it and said to watch YouTube. Then charged me $25 to use my debit card, yet everyone else these days can use osko and receive a direct deposit instantly. The machine itself seems good.

The Joel’s 5ton 2 Leg Hoist is of good quality and all holes line up and the powder coating is great. The fasteners are all there and bagged seperate. They could be labeled better and the instructions are very vague . Overall the quality is good for the price.

The Hoist is ok for what you pay
Do yourself a favour and buy better bolts and nut also the hold down concrete bolts I won’t use and purchased decent ones
Over all about the best you get for the price

Very good team to deal with, ordering was a breeze. Pick up was easy. Good quality product, instructions were not the best very small print. I got the motorcycle lift with the only bug I had was my Breakout is so low that I needed shoring on the ramp so my bike doesn’t scrape the mainframe when putting it on/off the platform.

Got a transmission jack and it’s way to low to be easy to use, I’m average height for an Aussie and the the jack is shorter than me so it’s super awkward to use. Other than that it’s pretty good just such a shame it’s to short.

The photo is it at full extension still 100mm to short to use so I’m taking the hoist down and awkwardly removing it he gearbox giving me a sore back.

Couldn't be happier with recent purchase of this cabinet set-up. After looking around and pricing up various options, these really stood out. They arrived in 2 days from ordering! Well packaged with lots of foam and cardboard, easy to put together, adjustable shelves, legs and all bolted together easily. Magnet close and keyed locks is great. Very well built and look awesome. We added a metal peg board and power point in workbench space and finished it off nicely.

I am a hoist installer.
I first installed a Joels Garage Gear 4 ton 2 post hoist a few years ago. My customer had purchased the hoist online. I had not heard of Joels.
The hoist was solid and seemed quite good quality.
I have since installed more Joels Garage Gear Hoists. Several 2 post hoists and a 4 post hoist. The quality is impressive. They are obviously committed to great product development as I can see improvement in quality and design.
I have now applied to become one of their registered Hoist Installers.

My original thoughts were to buy a 4 post hoist but because of limited space I opted for the 2 poster from Joels Garage. So glad I did because it's so versatile, especially when my boat needs separating from it's trailer. With over 60 years experience in engineering I find the design and robust construction of my hoist is second to none and can certainly recommend it to prospective buyers. My only gripe is the vague instruction manual and lack of detail.
