Went and picked up a workshop storage unit, which fitted perfectly in the back of the Triton, with the help of Ryan and the crew.
Took a few hours to assemble, and as with many Chinese products I was expecting for things to be misaligned or captive nuts to have damage threads or any other number of issues.
But this wasn’t the case at all with Joel’s cabinet. It all went together perfectly. Looks great and so functional. Had also purchased a Joel’s hoist a couple of years ago, a similar great experience.
I’d certainly go back Joel’s for anything else I may need in the future.

Joel’s Garage did a solid job overall. The hoists are great quality and the whole installation process went smoothly from start to finish. The only downside was the amount of rubbish left behind by the installation team — it would’ve been perfect if they cleaned up properly before leaving. Other than that, happy with the service and would recommend them.

Recently purchased a hoist for my man cave . Got the 4.5 ton clear floor with the extension kit to be able to have high clearance to do a variety of cars and stack cars etc. The hoist was better quality for the money than I expected as I owned commercial grade hoists for my mechanics business previously which were more expensive. Instructions to assemble the hoist were mostly clear . Would recommend a professional install if you have never done this type of thing though. Was well packed for shipping and would require a fork lift to unpack and assemble . As it's for private use it should last forever.

These guys are awesome. Not only are the products fantastic, they are priced well, locally available, and easy to set up. I bought the 72” mobile toolbox workstation and had it setup in less than half an hour. The whole unit is high quality from its double wall construction, to its solid wood bench top, and it looks fantastic. I’ll definitely shop here again.

Whilst purchasing, the customer service at Joels was great, Aussie call centre, one person was the same point of contact from beginning to end, emails were answered in a timely manner and they answer the phone straight away.
The freight company they use has a call centre in Australia, responds instantly and have delivery drivers with great attitudes.
There were absolutely no delivery damages either.
We had to do something with our farm shed, see the before and after pictures !
Everything pictured fitted perfectly.
The shelving, cupboards and tool boxes are all of sufficient quantity and very modestly priced.
They are very adjustable, see the floor level Vs the top of the units, and flexible.
With everything considered, customer service, quality and price, for any home or light commercial uses these sets are perfect.

Purchased a 4 post extra long/high from joels around 2 months ago. Installation was straight forward if you're mechanical minded. If you're unsure just pay somone for the pice of mind. A couple of minor teething issues with some faulty parts, but the team at joels sent spares out straight away.

Overall quality and functionality is as expected. Having the ability to move it around the workshop with the additional castor kit allowed it to be more versatile for my needs.

I like the airhose lock feature (i keep it unplugged when I'm not in the shed as an addional safety feature) We have had small cars to heavy 4x4s, some minor adjustments are required once cables stretch, the team at joels are easy to get ahold of. Can answer any questions, would absolutely recommend them to others.

Great purchase and pickup experience , needed more shims which were readily available at no cost from the shop thanks for that and fitting wasn’t a big issue either just follow the instructions , have used it 10-15 times already should have done it sooner , all things considered a great experience.

Dealing with Joel's Garage was great. I purchased the 2 meter work bench and it is tremendous value for the money. The bench itself is really well made with finish, doors, drawers and assembly instructions all first class. The bench has a quality solid feel and I couldn't recommend the product highly enough to any prospective buyers.

Joels garage gear - 5 stars
Click + collect at third party warehouse - 0 stars.

Overall 3 stars as the pickup experience really was so bad.

Joels garage gear are absolutely awesome to deal with and kept me up to date throughout the whole order process. The toolbox I purchased is great quality and would own another in a heart beat as my tool collection grows.

The click and collect option for Sydney is absolutely dreadful and therefore would tell anyone looking to buy through Joel's to either just pay for shipping or buy from another company. Pickup is at a third party warehouse and can only be arranged between 8-3 weekdays. So if you work a normal job (as anyone requiring a tool box like this would), it makes its really difficult.
Signage at the pickup location is non existent so good luck finding the office (where all guests are to go first). After 40 minutes of driving around this industrial warehouse lot, and talking to 4 different staff, I still hadn't found the office. Finally found the pickup section and the man there was so rude, and I was almost sent away for not wearing a hi-vis vest (I only received an email the night before pickup saying this was necessary, so it was impossible to get one before pickup the following morning). Apparently anyone who works in a warehouse owns one? I work in a massive warehouse as a spray painter for a large chain of smash repairers and there's not a hi-vis vest in sight as they are not needed at all. This guy was an absolute drop kick. Joels is not a trade exclusive store so any member of the public can purchase there, especially automotive hobbyists who likely won't own hi-vis.

The Hoist is ok for what you pay
Do yourself a favour and buy better bolts and nut also the hold down concrete bolts I won’t use and purchased decent ones

Got a transmission jack and it’s way to low to be easy to use, I’m average height for an Aussie and the the jack is shorter than me so it’s super awkward to use. Other than that it’s pretty good just such a shame it’s to short.

The photo is it at full extension still 100mm to short to use so I’m taking the hoist down and awkwardly removing it he gearbox giving me a sore back.

I am a hoist installer.
I first installed a Joels Garage Gear 4 ton 2 post hoist a few years ago. My customer had purchased the hoist online. I had not heard of Joels.
The hoist was solid and seemed quite good quality.
I have since installed more Joels Garage Gear Hoists. Several 2 post hoists and a 4 post hoist. The quality is impressive. They are obviously committed to great product development as I can see improvement in quality and design.

My original thoughts were to buy a 4 post hoist but because of limited space I opted for the 2 poster from Joels Garage. So glad I did because it's so versatile, especially when my boat needs separating from it's trailer. With over 60 years experience in engineering I find the design and robust construction of my hoist is second to none and can certainly recommend it to prospective buyers. My only gripe is the vague instruction manual and lack of detail.
